Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, Phillip was taught to ride by horseback to retrieve rations for his family from the local depot over 100 miles away. Every morning, he would pack up his pony and ride west on the treacherous road through the hills of southwest Texas... that's, none of that's true. Did you buy that? Have you ever been to Texas? It's very civilized. We don't ride horses anywhere. We have cars, just like you. But I digress.
I'm a middle child of three and a cancer sign. I have a lot of feelings and expectations to be something great but I've always felt that a simple life would give me fulfillment. So I decided to be an actor... so far none of this is adding up.
Currently, I'm between Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles pursuing an acting career in film and television. I work primarily as a commercial actor (see Work tab) but I recently was cast in my first feature film called "Somebody I Used To Know", directed by Dave Franco, and starring Alison Brie. They co-wrote it together and it's going to be a lot of fun. Keep an eye out for it on Amazon Prime in 2022!
I'm also further developing a solo show that was actually my thesis in graduate school. It's called "Trial of the Century" and it is the closing arguments from both the prosecution and defense in regards to "toxic masculinity" (personified by a blank red baseball cap on stage) being on trial for "crimes against humanity". As an audience, you are complicit in the final verdict.
Well... I've got that film coming out this year. That'll be cool. I also have a short film I starred in and was an Associate Producer on called, "Bad Luck Charm" which is currently making the rounds on the film festival circuit so I don't actually know when we'll release that for public view but, stay tuned!
In July 2022, I will be making my Portland stage debut in a Shakespeare production that will be announced soon. This will be my first professional Shakespearean play I've done in over six years!
I'm also really excited to announce that we're expecting again! Tricia is due in July 2022 and we couldn't be happier.
